About the Tournament
Each fall, Squash Cancer hosts a wide range of players who love squash and hate cancer! The fun, one-day tournament serves as a kick-off event to the upcoming squash season and provides a much needed squash tournament in Boston, a city in which there are relatively few formal squash events, while advancing cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, through the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), the largest and most successful athletic fundraiser in the country.
The tournament is competitive yet good-spirited! It is perfect for novices and experienced players alike. This year, we will have various leveled single-elimination draws, including novice brackets, intended to encourage beginners to get involved in the sport. Lunch will be provided and the generous pros at INFINITUM Squash will provide a demonstration/exhibition for all to enjoy. In the afternoon, we will also have round robins and hit-arounds for those who have been eliminated. The day will conclude by watching some of our upper level players battle it out in the finals!
Please join us again on Sunday, September 8, 2019 for the third-annual Squash Cancer tournament! Enrollment will include a tournament swag, a pair of Orfiks high-performance socks, lunch, trophies and OOfos recovery sandals for winners, and lunch. Additionally, there will be raffles and silent auctions to support the tournament expenses. One hundred percent of registration fees will again go directly to the fight against cancer!

Partnering Opportunities

Just as the inaugural year did, the second annual Squash Cancer event in Boston will donate 100% of tournament entry fees to the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), the largest and most successful athletic fundraiser in the country. The PMC has provided nearly $600,000,000 to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institution and Jimmy Fund over the past 38 years. As a result, the PMC has been responsible for supporting various breakthroughs in the world of cancer treatment and care. In order to maximize the monies from Squash Cancer that are donated to fight cancer, and to offset tournament costs incurred, we need corporate sponsorship and raffle/silent auction donations to fund necessities such as: tournament t-shirts, brochures, squash balls, lunches, US Squash fees and trophies. If you would like to consider partnering with us, please contact SquashCancerMA@gmail.com. Your participation in Squash Cancer will make a difference.
